What Coach do u think is the best coach in the league
Coachfroliker2000 01-17-2005, 04:05 PM What Coach do u think is the best coach in the league froliker2000 01-17-2005, 04:07 PM I think LOrne Molleken for the saskatoon blades is a very good coach especially because he coached in the nhl if the blades stick with him theyll get far Orv 01-17-2005, 04:43 PM Brent Sutter. Could be an NHL coach if he wanted to. Hordichuk_24 01-17-2005, 07:47 PM Don Hay. He has coached at the NHL level and could again if he chose to. Instead, he wanted to go back to the WHL. Plus he has been voted the best coach in the WHL. Zetterberg4Captain* 01-17-2005, 08:31 PM Brent Sutter, in my opinion, is easily the best coach in the 'dub'. Like Orv said he could be coaching in the NHL if he wanted to. BCCHL inactive 01-17-2005, 09:58 PM Brent Sutter. No contest. If he wasn't the Owner, President, Director of Hockey Operations, General Manager and Head Coach of the Red Deer Rebels, he would have an NHL job. MikeS 02-06-2005, 04:36 PM Kevin Constantine. No high-profile players, but Western Conference Champs last year. Youngest team in the league and in second place and pace ahead of last year at this point. ...despite his propensity to pull the goalie a bit earlier than customary... :dunno: 54Fisticuffs 02-08-2005, 09:43 PM All guys named here are good selections, my vote goes to Sutter. Bobby Ryan Getzlaf 02-14-2005, 11:57 PM My rankings: 1.Brent Sutter 2.Kevin Constantine 3.Curtis Hunt 4.Don Hay 5.Lorne Molleken Well, there's 5. I figure that's enough. Upchuck19 02-15-2005, 04:22 PM I'd go with 1-Sutter, don't have to comment on this. 2-Constantine, with not much to work with taking the Tips to the DUB final. 3-Molleken, done a great job last to first so far 4-Truitt, he has made some changes to Habby style and has done good for a rookie. 5-Clouston, he has done a great job with the Ice and getting everything out of this team. I wouldn't right now rank Hay in the top five because the Giants are not living up to the talent level. Who cares if he coached in the NHL, that means dick all. Hordichuk_24 02-15-2005, 08:52 PM Who cares if he coached in the NHL, that means dick all. It does matter. That the goal of most of these coaches. To one day coach in the NHL. That doesn't mean he is a good coach for the Giants right now at this point. But he is a good coach and worthy of being considered a candidate. For the record, I don't think he is the best coach in the league. I was just nominating him. My vote would go to Sutter. I should've said that from the start. taylor0017 02-15-2005, 09:48 PM 1) Sutter 2) Desjardins 3) Hofford  4) Hunt 5) Truit Upchuck19 02-17-2005, 12:37 PM It does matter. I should've said that from the start. Sure he has a good resume, but 6 or 7 years ago while he was coaching in Tri, they traded away three young prospects to make a run in the playoffs. I talked to a player on that team and he said with all the yelling and screaming the team gave up on Hay. They lost in the first or second round to the Blazers, and lets face it the Giants aren't as good a team this year as they look on paper? Hordichuk_24 02-17-2005, 12:47 PM Sure he has a good resume, but 6 or 7 years ago while he was coaching in Tri, they traded away three young prospects to make a run in the playoffs. They lost in the first or second round to the Blazers, and lets face it the Giants aren't as good a team this year as they look on paper? Again, I'm not disagreeing. I just named him because he is a worthy candidate, IMO. I'm a Giants season ticket holder and I've heard many things about Hay from current players to say the least. So believe me, I'm very well informed regarding Hay. And the Giants aren't anywhere near as good in reality than they are on paper. On paper they should be a Memorial Cup contender. In reality they are a team that is going to get knocked out in the first round of the playoffs. QQQ 02-20-2005, 02:53 AM :yo: Considering the number of injuries these two have had to work with. Every team that plays them brings their A game. Especially in the Saddledome visiting teams think they are in the Show. They get clutched, grabbed, sucker punched, hit from behind. Must be the Hitmen name and the refs let it go. Without some shakey goal tending at the beginning of the season I think they'd be # 1 in the Central. Dawn 03-25-2005, 12:49 AM Lindsay Hoffard. He did an awesome job, turning the 'Canes around from the point they where at last season. Even directly following the team bringing him in from London, the team noticeably improved. That and he's had to deal with the injuries and illnesses, therefore, a depleted line-up, all season. | ||
