I know I did immediately after seeing the thread the other day. Everyone who messaged ESPN gets a big :handclap:

nothing like a bunch of angry hockey fans to wake up those stupid ESPN programmers! "oh my god, they dont have the NHL, they will die if we dont give them this final, we have to save them!"

Now I would recommend that EVERYONE sent an e-mail THANKING ESPN for broadcasting the WJC tournament and let them know just how many people appreciate the effort (of flipping a freakin' switch to get the TSN feed mind you) and that their advertizers will benefit from the decision. Someone know the email addy?

I emailed them too even though I get TSN...I don't even get ESPN but it pissed me off when I hear that they play poker or scrabble or 40 year old football games instead of live hockey.

Not to concern anyone, but I just checked the ESPN site again to "What to look for" and it doesnt mention the WJC anymore.

I sent them one then after I saw that they had changed their programming, I got up from my desk in Ohio and went immediately over to a window and looked to see if hell had frozen over.

Seems very concerning for non-Canadians who want to see the game. Maybe they are just hiding it so as not to anger the NASCAR junkies or something like that. Let them pretend hockey doesn't exist and while they are watching football, air the hockey game.

Lets all message them to have a pop-up when you go to espn.com that flashes in bright lights going "TRUST US: WJC BETWEEN RUSSIA AND CANADA ON ESPN AT 8PM EST ON JANUARY 04, 2004". I think that would calm many of our concerns down.

It better be on because I dont want to wait until 3am in the morning for nothing plus I have school!! :eek:

i got the same thing. when i followed one of those links to try to follow up, i ended up filling out the same report i did in the first place. everything els is directed to the faq's. its an embarrassment.

Well, it's 8:18 EST right now...and ESPN is airing a preview of TILT, followed by Classic Boxing. On ESPN2 is a ****** countdown, followed by an NBA highlight show.

My guess as to what you all saw about the WJC was what would have been on assuming USA had won their game. They lost, but ESPN was slow to change the programming lineup.

I got the same email back as everyone else did, and i spent about 20 minutes on that email. makes you wonder if anyone will really read them or will all our complaints get deleted.
