Spyware Problems

Alright, I've been having some major problems with these files. I found two of them in the registry, but when I delete them, they just come right back. They are:

djtopr1150.exe
bxxs5.dll
nvms.dll

Now I've run an ad-aware, a spybot s&d, and they just continue to come back. Anyone have any suggestions for me? It's greatly appreciated.

and with the help of a friend discovered it wasn't spyware...
so perhaps you should run some virus software!!


also..make sure to google those files to see what you come up with.

Well in googling them, some are adware, mainly from SecondThought. I think some are coming from Virtual Bouncer as well. As suggested, I've been running this spysweeper for about a half hour now and it's found a few things.

Turn off system restore before you delete the files.

Block the internet connection and run adaware/spybot. Those programs are likely going back out on the internet and redownloading themselves.

I keep running spysweeper, quarantining, then deleting all of these adware items but yet they still come back every time. I guess my next step would just be to re-format?

There is another file reloading those pieces. I had the same problem with something called "midaddle"

look into downloading "hijack this!" and then go to the forums....tell them what you told us...and they'll ask you to paste the hijack this log. they'll analyze it...tell you what your problems are...and how to get rid of them. i keep my systems squeaky clean, but a friend of mine had a problem i couldn't fix for her and they took care of it. great site, knowledgeable posters.

I'm not familiar with the files you listed that keep coming back, but not everything that adaware/spybot finds is spyware. In my case, Spybot keeps finding DSOExploit but it cannot remove it. It turns out it's some sort of component of internet explorer itself that does no real harm.

Yeah, that's what I did. I basically know what files are causing the problems, I just can't get rid of them. Any time I delete them from either the registry or msconfig, they just hang around. The problem is that the source is still trying to load the files, but cannot find them. So I continually get notices about errors opening those files.
