Kelowna just traded Joel Henituik to Lethbridge for a 6th rounder in the 2005 draft. Too bad, Henituik looked good in the one exhibition game I saw him play. But It's a good sign about their depth if they can afford to move a guy like that for no short-term return.

Story at: http://www.kelownarockets.com/pressrelease.asp?ID=193

Edit: oops, just noticed the correct format, sorry Van.

Henitiuk had a rough time in Kelowna i guess one can say. Had an injury 2 seasons ago then last year was around for a while although I dont think he played any games. This year it would be tough to play on a Memorial Cup team as an 18 year old rookie... Change of scenery should help this kid, his brother plays in Lethbridge too, so good luck to him!

I did not do that in this transaction thread. I did that in the overage thread regarding Jason Goulet's release from the Cougars.

Bottom line, a link must be posted with ANY transaction report. I don't care if it is a news link, or a roster with the lack of said player's name.

You should have posted the roster link in the original report you made.

and the way Bridges has started in his first games two wins and a shutout, Lepp just went from one bench to another. It may take this kid awhile to get back into it. In two years he hasn't played much and when he did well it wasn't that good. Behind the best D in the west should have been better. Good luck Lepp you may see a few more games then you did last year, but better make them count to see more.

Brent Parker was pretty busy. First, after Yacboski wanted a trade, he traded him for Paul Albers(now pretty much Regina's best defenseman). Then he traded a conditional draft pick for Adam Flick, who scored a goal in his first game as a Pat. Now Chapman for Landon Jones. Though most of the deals are turning out good, I hope he pulls off a major one to grab someone else who can lead the way to a decent playoff spot. But if Albers plays better than Yacboski, and Flick can do good with decent playing time (maybe with former teammate Jon Bubnick, but probably not), the Pats can only look up.

Flick's SJHL rights are owned by the Melville Millionaires. He was not in the Moneymen's lineup in their game in Nipawin on Friday night. The Millionaires don't play until November 1 at home against Melfort, so we'll probably find out then.

I've heard instead of being released normally, he asked to be released. I've heard alot of things why, like he doesn't like Lowes or for family reasons. I live near Flick's family, but I'm not too sure on anything. He did decent in his first and only(I think) Pats game, so I don't think he would be released for bad play, considering also that the Pats aren't the strongest of teams and can use all the help they need, though they released quite a few projected roster players (both Davidsons, Fecho, etc.).

The Pats also signed free agent import Robin Kovar. Too make room for Kovar they released Kamil Vavra.

Vavra really started off with a bang, 3 goals in 3 games, but hasn't scored since. I still had hope for him.

That's alot of Pats released. Both Davidsons, Fecho, Flick, and now Vavra. Many traded too, Yacboski, Chapman.like Flick played only in one game, but the roster 20 games ago is really different from today's.

good trade for both teams. kamloops gets a 20 year old goalie, although i dont think mcintosh is a great tender, he is decent though. Kozek is what I think would be the gem fo the deal. plays like paul brown. only thing is he was originally drafted by PG and didnt want to come all the way over to BC so got traded fo his home province of manitoba.... is he forsure going to kamloops? if so that is huge for them.

Ya, that the rumor that's going around town. McCrimmion's smart enough not to go in the playoffs without a exprienced goalie. Even rumors that they might trade their #3 goalies rights, Tyler Plante

They traded their best forward, last years leading scorer. One of their top three d-men and they gave up a good young goalie for a goalie that is 20 years old when they already have a starter in Dubnyk. They should have been able to get more for what they gave up.
