Hi, Im from western Alberta and dont get a chance to watch the Q very much. Anyways, I was wondering how Lyle Van Wieren has played this year for the Olympiques? His stats suggest that he has been playing poorly, but perhaps he has brought more to the team than just goals & assists?

Do you think he has a future with the Olympique? or does he have a chance to get drafted late in the NHL draft?

He has not dressed for that many games and is the 8th defenceman on the team. The Olympiques just have more talented players on defence who are doing a good job. Unless there are some injuries I don't see Van Wieren playing too much. I could see perhaps being traded around Christmas if Gatineau decides to make some trades to improve the team this year. Right now I don't see him being drafted.
