That's right. I love that crap. I'm going to start keeping score by ignoring goals and counting only punches landed. I wonder if we'll win more that way.
How long is Kunitz supposed to be out?
McDonald19 11-13-2004, 09:01 PM How long is Kunitz supposed to be out?
good old "indefinite"
last I heard Smirnov was the closest to returning of the three injured Ducks...
McDonald19 11-13-2004, 09:02 PM 1-0 Cincy in the second.
powerplay goal by:
Parenteau from Chistov and Holmqvist

O'Brien and Wade Brookbank dropped the gloves. O'Brien didn't land any punches...

A lead?
Chistov's got a mini points scoring streak...and I do mean mini.
McDonald19 11-13-2004, 09:09 PM A lead?
They couldn't get to the 2nd intermission with the lead.
1-1 tie, goal by Lee Goren.

That's more like them.

Maybe the fight sparked him
lux_interior 11-13-2004, 09:21 PM Maybe the fight sparked him
Maybe. Then again, maybe it started before the fight and he realized he needed to bring more to the table during games.
McDonald19 11-13-2004, 09:32 PM sounds like Lupul and Chistov are creating offensive chances but Flaherty is on his game.

That's not Wade Flaherty is it? Nah, can't be.
McDonald19 11-13-2004, 09:41 PM That's not Wade Flaherty is it? Nah, can't be.
yes the 36 year old veteran.
Bobby Ryan Getzlaf 11-13-2004, 09:45 PM Hopefully the brothers Brookbank get something going in this game. That'd definetely be intense.
McDonald19 11-13-2004, 10:03 PM Konopka threw a big hit on the forecheck and he gets a penalty for it. :dunno:
radio guys are confused...interference call yet the guy had the puck...
4 minutes left big penalty kill.
McDonald19 11-13-2004, 10:06 PM 2-1 Manitoba Powerplay goal
refs probably just gave the Moose a win...
Ducks are playing bad enough as it is they don't need the refs helping the other team.
McDonald19 11-13-2004, 10:07 PM and theres the makeup call...
Ducks will finish the game with a powerplay...about 1:30 left...
McDonald19 11-13-2004, 10:08 PM Cassivi to the bench
6 on 4 now...
McDonald19 11-13-2004, 10:09 PM Chistov almost tied it...
Lupul as well...
2-1 loss...
Jennifer 11-13-2004, 11:13 PM so over all...

based on what I hear through the radio, the Ducks played fairly well. Chistov and Lupul were creating a lot of chances but just couldn't bury any.
Parenteau had a strong game with 6 shots and a goal.
Spankatola Jamnuts 11-13-2004, 11:28 PM O'Brien and Wade Brookbank dropped the gloves. O'Brien didn't land any punches...
Damnit!
lux_interior 11-13-2004, 11:55 PM yes the 36 year old veteran.
Oh my gawd. He was a crappy NHL goalie, I must say.

But apparently still good enough to do a number on our finest prospects.

Won't win more, but you will 'earn' the respect of all your teamates and the people here as well.
----
WTF? Now they lose every game just because a few guys are injured. "Oh no!!! Smirnov's out!!!" "We sure could use him..." :shakehead
Fighter 11-14-2004, 05:02 AM Wow, didn't expected anoter loss, we suck badly sometimes

Got that right :madfire:
cyrisweb 11-14-2004, 03:48 PM Oh my gawd. He was a crappy NHL goalie, I must say.
But one of the finest AHL goalies there is. Won the Calder cup last season, making that twice in his carear. He absalutely stole that game last night for the Moose.

And actually, he did have a couple of moments in the NHL as well. Remember '95 when the Sharks beat the highly seeded Flames in the first round? He had something like 50+ saves in the game 7 double OT victory. I consider it one of the finest single-game performances I've seen in the past 10 years.
EDIT: Just found it, it was 56 saves on 60 shots. And few were easy ones.
mazmin 11-14-2004, 06:08 PM Wade was a terrific signing for the Moose. Can't think of a better mentor for Alex Auld.
I expected Cinci to take at least one of the games this week against my Moose. Shouldn't Chistov be a little more productive??? Since he added bulk he seems to have lost his scoring touch... is this at all true?

Chistov lost his scoring touch after sitting on his butt watching TV during the summer after the stanley cup run. He forget to work hard and get better and a sophomore slump occured.
