Where The he!! is Naslund on this list????? geez isn't he like the leading goal Scorer and (i think) point getter of the new decade? Koivu has about the same amount of points that naslud has in 2.5 of the 4 years.
St. Louis is only from last year because the year before he was not a huge force to deal with.
Jagr should be on here as he has been a force and scored more points in one season in the last decade than anyone else
Last decade meaning 2000-2004

Stupid Canadian principles! Koivu? I could put my home team captain as one of the best in a decade too... :banghead:
What about Bobrov, Salming, Kharlamov, Fetisov, Kurri, Bure, Fedorov?
Oh, sorry, you must have forgotten them...

I think Stevens deserves a mention in the 90's, but that's probably just me.
Edler Statesman* 11-06-2004, 11:00 AM if you're gonna add a defenseman, I'd add Bourque or Leetch before Stevens. Maybe even Chelios.
Frightened Inmate #2 11-06-2004, 11:25 AM In terms of 90's defensemen I think that Bourque, Leech, Chelios, and argueably MacInnis were at the same level if not better than Stevens. While he was always solid as a rock in the 90s, he never was a top 10 player in the league. If it was a top 10-15 players of the 90s then yeah I can see stevens deserving a spot, but at top 5, I don't think he makes it.

Agree pretty much with all of those except Dave Keon. A very good player and a legit HOFer but he gets in there over Beliveau? Hmmm. Fishy.
And the first post had Cournoyer in there in the 60s. I liked Yvan but he played over two decades and he's more of a late 60s and early to mid 70s guy.

END THE LOCKOUT SO DEMITRA CAN PLAY!!
But seriously, Sakic should be Top 5 in both 90's and 00's.
A top 5 is very difficult, and a top 10 would be easier to put out. Players like Fedorov and Bure deserve some respect in the 90s.

I'm still laughing about Koivu in the top 5 of the 2000s.
Bloody Sabbath 11-08-2004, 12:45 PM I said Offensive Players not forwards. There are offensive defenseman too you know.
As if Koivu is one of the top 5 offensive players of the 2000s :shakehead He's got a whopping 196 points from the 99-00 season on.
Some of you Habs fans are just...wow.
Note: key word, "some".
