MS: Growing up, what hockey team did you root for?

AV: The Rangers. I was more of a Mark Messier fan, but that’s who it was. I was a big Ranger fan until I was drafted by the Devils.

lol......Ranger fan.....I tell ya, for shame! Atleast he said he's not anymore :)

I'm a Voros fan from his days with the Salsa, but he's a Rangers fan eventhough he's from Vancouver, and he's a republican? :banghead: :( Why Aaron why?

Scott Gomez is from Alaska, and his favorite team is the New York Rangers. You would be naive to think all of the Devils are in hate with the Rangers because that's not the case at all...

Things are just like that, there is often different persective between the fans and the players of a same team...

Voros simply rules. He's been my boy since he was drafted... look for the Devils to sign/draft Kyle Greentree in the coming years.

Im a huge devils fan and i dont hate the rangers..there is no point we own them and have for a long long time. I hate philly more than the rangers. Mark Messier I respect big time and even read a book on him. Great great hockey player even if hes a ranger.

During the decade of the 90's nyr$ outspent the Devils by about 400mil. That isn't lost on player agents who love msg.

So he likes the Rangers. Willie Randolph was a Mets fan, but I don't think many Yankee fans cared when he played ball for them.

As far as being a Republican thing goes, well, it shows he has his head on straight. :)

Svieglar, Lord of Pudding, who is Kyle Greentree?

Greentree is one of Voros's teamates from the Victoria Salsa now at Alaska Fairbanks...and in case your wondering, they used to be owned by the local Taco Bell, thus the Salsa name....

Republican I can't forgive :shakehead glad I'm in Canada

I'd welcome Voros to the Rangers if you'll have Jamie Lundmark and a used skate :D.

Good call on Greentree! This kid is simply amazing. He's playing very well with UAF right now. In fact, he racked up two assists versus Nebraska-Omaha earlier tonight (Sat).

Also, if anyone of you are looking at UAF, another kid to keep an eye on is Adam Powell. This guy is a freakin' tank!

Greentree was a monster last year, leading the BCHL in goalscoring (and scoring, or did he finish second?). I usually follow college stats at uscho.com, but haven't been there in a few weeks, so I'm glad to hear that Kyle is adjusting well. He's a late '83, so I guess he is no longer draft-eligible. Give him three or four years of college and he should be ready for a pro career.

Powell.. just looked him up. 53 goals and 263 PIM with Chilliwack (BCHL) last year. 6'1" 225... sounds like a tank!
