Dean McAmmond. I am really glad the Rats grabbed him. I grew up in Red Deer and watched a lot of Oilers games down the road when McAmmond was playing for the Oilers. He's a quick skater and a pretty smart player. Now granted he has not been the player that the Oilers thought he would be, and in his other NHL stints he has been a depth player but I think he may get some time with the Devils once the NHL resumes if he keeps working hard. I hope you guys who watch the River Rats closely will keep an eye on him and post here if he does good. :)
I have been trying to follow the AHL, but Albany doesn't play in Edmonton this year, so I won't get to see him first hand. I live in Edmonton now and plan to watch a lot of Road Runners games, simply because I can afford to watch them. It isn't east being a Devils fan that lives so far away from them. Anyway, like I said, just glad a guy like McAmmond was added to Albany, he is a good player.
