I don't know if you all saw this

ANAHEIM – A meeting Wednesday involving Howard Baldwin, a former owner of the Hartford Whalers and Pittsburgh Penguins, and Arrowhead Pond of Anaheim executives marked another step toward a possible sale of the Mighty Ducks.

Baldwin and Pond officials discussed a potential arrangement that would make his ownership financially attractive for both the club and the arena.

I hope Baldwin dosn't buy the Ducks. I want Henry Samueli to buy them.

Copywrite issues aside...

Baldwin...owned the Whalers...sucky team, moved. Owned the North Stars...sucky team, moved. Bought the Stanley Cup Champion Penguins...went into bankruptcy.

Terrible resume.

Clippers signed a 10 yr deal... :shakehead

no basketball team at the pond for 10 more years and by then the arena will be too old for anyone to move their team there. Even if a team wanted to move to Anaheim the NBA doesn't want a third team in the same market.

Considered a "tremendous owner" in the wake of a second consecutive Penguins Stanley Cup championship in 1992, Baldwin now holds the unofficial title as "the worst owner in the history of Pittsburgh sports," according to Pittsburgh Post-Gazette columnist Ron Cook.

"I loved Howard personally, but he has no money," Cook said. "When he bought the team (in 1991), he had no money. He leveraged everything. He just made some horrible business decisions. He paid money he didn't have. My take is that he is right up there as one of the reasons the NHL is in the position it's in now

I hope they don't buy the Ducks.
