I dunno why this wasn't posted yet. I have been updating a thread at njdevs.

Albany 5 - Providence 1

Period 1
(no scoring)
Period 2
Albany - Adrian Foster (shorthanded) (Dean McAmmond) 11:13
Albany - Aaron Voros (Aleksander Suglobov, Dean McAmmond) 12:24
Albany - Ray Schultz (Pascal Rheaume, Ryan Murphy) 19:38

Period 3
Albany - Tuomas Pihlman (Adrian Foster, Ray Schultz) 2:13
Providence - Andy Hilbert (Kevin Dallman, Ben Guite) 2:58
Albany - Bobby Allen (Aleksander Suglobov, Aaron Voros) 9:07

Suglobov is up to 4 goals and 5 assists in 5 games.
Voros has 3 goals and 4 assists in 5 games.

Parise got the day off, he is still getting used to this many games. Not like College where they play only twice a week.

Clemmensen has been great stopping 32 of 33 shots so far.

Woah, woah, woah, WOAH.

Adrian Foster PLAYED in this game, much less scored a shorthanded goal?

Why can't he stay healthy? (Insert bleeps and asteriks here.)

Albany has a couple problems, they have a boatload of talented forwards and it seems they allways have to sit one of them. Khomutov, Foster and Parise have all sit so far. Albany is also very weak at faceoffs.

That is the sweetest post in here in a long time. Yeah J-Mac, you called it on the nose with this Voros kid, I remember you tooting his horn a long time ago. I think he's going to develop into one of our best prospects.

Man, are our kids looking good or what?

Vroros and Alek, two middle-late rd. picks outperforming some of the org's top guys but it's really good to see Foster getting things together and please let him go the distance without injury. If the 2 Fins really start to roll we'll have a half dozen young guys who should eventually play or be valuable trade assets.

I think Suglobov was drafted in the second round if I recall, becasue no one really knew anything about him and there was talk that we reached. Ha, I don't think they can say that anymore!

EDIT: Yep, 2nd rounder, 56th overall, but still looking like a steal, he's playing like a lottery pick right now.

Suglobov if I remember correctly was suppost to go in the 3rd or 4th round. Not much of an off the wall pick but Laine was suppost to be the superstar.

I think we had 4 #2's the Suglobov year, and I don't think he was on CSB lists he was something of a mystery man. Rupp and Danton were 3-5 guys who have already played NHL seasons . Martin and Hale have too, so Laine needs to have a big FEL season to complete a very productive post-cup '00 draft.

Laine has 6 goals and 3 assits in 12 games.....that is very productive so far.

New Jersey Devils Draft History
2000
22) David Hale (1st)
39) Teemu Laine (2nd)
56) Alexander Suglobov (2nd)
57) Matt DeMarchi (2nd)
62) Paul Martin (2nd)
67) Max Birbraer (3rd)
76) Michael Rupp (3rd)
125) Phil Cole (4th)
135) Mike Danton (5th)
164) Matus Kostur (5th)
194) Deryk Engelland (6th)
198) Ken Magowan (7th)
257) Warren McCutcheon (8th)

Paul Martin in 2nd round, I think, is still the best from that 4. Though, Laine and DeMarchi do need to step it up. If they do, that would be SICK. (5-7 NHLers? SWEET.) Nice to see Laine produce in the SEL. Though, I don't think that is indication he'd produce over here.

I know but its a start. Laines biggest assets are speed and he plays with an edge. If he were to come to camp he would be the 2nd fastest player on the team behind Niedermayer and used on a checking line. Thats why I want Laine over here, he would be great on a 3rd/4th line.

Notes: Rookie forward Zach Parise, shaken up in Friday's third period, did not dress for this game. He had points in his first four games. ... Former RPI defenseman Steve Munn was scratched from the Providence lineup.

Rookie center Zach Parise built a four-game point streak (1-4-5) into the game, but didn't play. .

Parise took quite the hit in Friday's game and came out with a slight concusion. Him sitting is a precaution as a result of that. Should play tonight though.
