Man Anton must have made a pretty bad impression. Was this expected that he would be sent down?

He had a piss poor first game. He is only young.....some time in the ECHL was to be expected.

Yea that really sucks! I was hoping he would get some quality time in Albany this season. This could be a result of having Hale in the AHL and just not having enough room at the moment. But who knows...

Hale, DeMarchi, Allen, Schultz, Redlihs are all givens.

Brooks, Cole, Spencer, Kesa all for the last defense spot. Do you real think it would be smart to play Kadeikin small amounts of minutes in Albany when he can big time minutes in ECHL.

It is also a "good year" to play in the E, since I would assume a substantial amount of AHL caliber talent will be shipped down there to make room for all the players like Macammond who have/are going to sign with AHL teams.

Joey Tenute played in yesterdays game and looked pretty good... But not good enough to make the cut I guess... Ftorek letting go of his son Sam was no suprise either...

Am I the only one that is wondering if Kadeykin has what it takes to make it as a NHL'er, just not a 5 or 6 defenseman, but a top four? I mean considering that we drafted him in the first round I was hoping for better progress than this.

2nd round in a very thin draft.....his pick was off the charts also. Kadeikin has apparently gotten worse in his two years at Sarnia. Any Sarnia fan will tell you that. He has all the skills to be good. I hope he can put those skills together in the ECHL.

Yeah your right second round.

Are you still high on him? I know you were earlier this year, I have never seen play so I can only go from what I hear and I haven't heard anything good in a while.

I still have hope like I do for many devils prospects. He is big, strong, has great endurance and likes to play physical. Where he seems to have problems is positional play. He is a fairly similar prospect to White, DeMarchi and Uchevatov.....something about defensmen we draft. :)

Would the Devils send Anton Kadeykin to a team in the ECHL or would they send him back to Sarnia? Which would be better for his development?

Also, Marek Chvatal is playing in Europe as far as I know. Is he still considered a prospect or can we kiss him good-bye?

Thanks.
