Corey Perry is kicking butt!!!Mxpunk 10-03-2004, 02:53 AM http://slam.canoe.ca/Slam/Hockey/Junior/2004/10/02/653423.html Duckstudd269 10-05-2004, 01:19 AM good to hear. Now if there was only a season........ habsfan4life 10-25-2004, 06:42 AM not sure if you were still counting but... Perry is currently going toe to toe with Sidney Crosby for the CHL scoring title. Sidney Crosby - 9 goals, 23 assists, 32 points - 13 games Corey Perry - 13 goals, 19 assists, 32 points - 13 games Perry is really looking like one of the most dominant juniors in the country (in turn, the world). This scoring race could be good to watch... I'd love to see Perry take the scoring title away from hockeys new baby-face (Crosby). Kick Save 10-26-2004, 02:58 PM I have to admit that I was one of the fans advocating that the Ducks trade Corey Perry and a 2nd-round pick to the Oilers for Mike Comrie. As the old cliche goes, "sometimes the best trades are the ones you never make". I'm glad I was wrong! In a season in which NHL hockey fans don't have much to cheer about, this is the best news I've heard yet. soya_sauce_chicken 10-26-2004, 03:05 PM not sure if you were still counting but... I think Crosby will beat him but he'll be runner up for CHL player of the year this year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Legionnaire 11-09-2004, 02:36 AM Also, note that Matt Christie of MofO is 2nd in the nation in scoring. I think you guys may have gotten a steal there. I sure wanted the Kings to take him. Didn't mean to highjack this thread, but I also didn't want to start a new one. bleuer 11-13-2004, 05:19 AM perry leads at the moment with 49:47, with crosby played 1 game more... perry was 1/4=5 in Londons 8-2 win over Belleville habsfan4life 11-27-2004, 06:27 AM Here's an update on the subject. The race is as close as ever. Neither player will let up. I've heard the argument that Perry plays for a better team than Crosby, making it easier for him to score (for those who don't follow the CHL at all, Perry plays for the London Knights, currently 23-0-1 to start the season and set to become the best team in the history of the CHL). I counter this argument by saying that Corbsy plays in the QMJHL, a league notorious for developing skilled offensive minded forwards and elite goaltenders. Sidney Crosby - 17 goals, 40 assists, 57 points, 18 PIM - 26 games Corey Perry - 18 goals, 38 assists, 56 points, 45 PIM - 24 games Decemeber should be an exciting month leading into the world juniors. Spankatola Jamnuts 11-28-2004, 01:15 AM Perry had a goal and 5 minor penalties today. habsfan4life 12-01-2004, 06:35 AM This is one of the most heavily viewed posts on the your teams board currently which makes me believe that this is one of the more exciting stories surrounding your team in a year with no NHL hockey. This is a good thread on the same topic that I found on the prospects board: http://www.hfboards.com/showthread.php?t=115635 Also, this is a good read that I found on the OHL page: http://www.ontariohockeyleague.com/news/?id=1083 Can you say, Team Canada for gold? :snide: | ||
