Cause of Death?

I was just wondering how this 35 year person died. He was connected with the NHL some way and they don't list the cause of death. I think it would be a real shame if he committed suicide cause the league didn't start. I think it would be a shame that owners and players and everybody involved could not have done something to keep the league alive. Cause I would hate the lack of a season to cause somebody want to kill themselves. What that also shows me though, if that it the case...that he did kill himself cause of hockey..., that hockey is not the world and a person should have other interests in their life other than hockey. I love hockey but to say that that is all that I am interested in is rediculous. I think our familes alone should come before hockey. I do want them to get serious about the collective bargaining though. I think though even if the stike does go on for a whole year, it can only help the Ducks. What do the Ducks want? They want a healthy team. In a year from now, all of their players will be healthy. Getzlaf, Perry and Glencross should defenitely make the team. Smid might be able to play for the team. There are a lot of pluses. All of that said though, I still would like to see the Ducks play come Januaray. The Ducks have always done good around that time of year. I think two seasons ago they even had the best record at one point since the All Star game or something. By the way, will there be an All-Star game even if the strike is still going? Anyways, Leclerc's knee keeps getting better and better with passing time. And by the time the league does start again, he should be ready to help the Ducks do some damage. Him, along with Perry, Getzlaf and Glencross bring the Ducks 4 key ingredients to the team, players who have the grit to score the goals at key moments of the game. Think about it. Last year, you had Prospal, Kunitz, McDonald and Krog who were the role players. This next year you would have Leclerc, Glencross, Getzlaf and Perry. I'd take the second 4. Anyways, back to the question, what was the cause of death?

Uhh.....how exactly did you deduce that he committed suicide? Unfortunately people abruptly die, some sooner than others.

I thought you were done posting. Sad to see that you came out of hibernation to offer up a jewel like this.

This is one of the most erratic/bizarre postings I've read in quite some time. How did talk about a NHL related death translate to not wanting the NHL lockout to end? Then talking about an All Star game? :shakehead

My sympathy goes to Peter Aquilone's family. It sounds like they have suffered a lot.

As someone who has always had Center Ice, I appreciate all the contributions Peter did to help make it possible for me to enjoy hockey.

RIP Peter...

If the family chose NOT to state the cause of death, we need to honor that and where the theory of suicide came from is a total mystery. To post such drivel is so disrespectful !!

I respect your point of views but I don't see it as disrespect. I see it as an honest wanting to know the cause of death. For the past few people that has been on NHL.com, whether it be somebody in their 80's or someone who just died in a car accident, they have always listed the cause of death. Even with the coach who was supposed to coach the Chezch team, they stated the cause of death. I figured that the only reason they would leave it out here would be because of the way the death happened. If the person was 80, I wouldn't suspect suicide. But I suspected it because the person in the artice was only 35. And why else would they leave out the cause of death when they mention it in all of their other articles. Anyways, I didn't mean to offend anybody. Now that you know where I am coming from, have a good day.

I'll guess it wasn't listed cause it's nobody's business but the deceased's family.

This thread is pointless. I dont know how you go from talking about someones death to the lockout and an all star game and then back to the death. :shakehead

I'm still trying to figure how he came up with "suicide". The guy could have been sick for a very long time but kept it privately. I'm sure everyone he worked with will keep his families wishes upheld so we will probably never know.

On to another point: what was the point of this thread again?

He died suddenly in his sleep. The cause isn't listed because it probably wasn't known at the time of the printing. Could be a heart problem, could be an aneurysm.
