Well in reading news around the league, it seems that Pensacola's may have a shaky start to the season. The Pensacola Civic Center apparently sustained damage as a result of Hurricane Ivan. More about it here

That stinks. I heard Wesbanco in Wheeling is flooded from Ivan as well.... although I'm sure not as bad as P'cola. :(
I'd be curious how the Leafs feel about this, given their new affiliation with Pensacola.

The availability of the arena is not the only issue, the condos where the players are usually housed on Pensacola Beach are not liveable, and all of apartments, condos, etc. in the surrounding counties that where not damaged and vacant are now full with people who were displaced from their damaged homes. The team's offices in the arena were also damaged and the team employees were just told they are being put on two-week unpaid leave. The situation there is very serious.

Hopefully it will all work out, I loved having the Bolts affiliated with the Pilots.

As did I. It was nice having a team in-state (though REALLY far away) and the Pilots fans are a great bunch who always kept us informed. Best of luck to all of them up there.
