New Mindset: WIN WIN WIN

If there is a season, I would defintely have to say that it would be more memorable then "The Miracle on Ice". With two days til the end of the expiration date of the you know what, chances of a season look slim. But there were some bright spots from the last game of the season. What did the team do the last game of their season, against the team that went to the Stanley Cup finals (Calgary). Answer: WON! What did team Canada do in the Hockey Championships this summer, who had Rob Niedermeyer, and was coached by Mike Babcock? Answer: WON! And what did the Rookie Mighty Ducks do in their Rookie Tournament Championship last night? ANSWER: WON! You see, the Ducks outlook next season might have winning around it. And you know what player I am most excited about making the team? It isn't Chistov. It isn't even Getzlaf. It is Glencross. I think we are going to be hearing that name in the NHL and even on some scoresheets for years to come. Some people say Glencross might be able to score 15 goals in a season, one day. I think he is capable of more then that. Geeze, he scored a total of 6 goals in a total of 4 games in the rookie tournament. You want to know how many Lupul scored last year (some predict Lupul can be a 35-40 goal scorer every year)? Lupul had a total of 3 goals in the rookie tournament. Glencross had twice that and actually had a hat trick in his last game. And it was the championship game. You might ask, why is that important? Cause we need players who can step up their game when it really counts, like in a championship game (As evident in the Ducks game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals. With a guy like Glencross who steps up his game at a championship game, who knows what the Ducks could have done). Glencross is all over the ice. He is throwing better checks then I have even seen in the NHL in a long time. Not one player in my opinion on the Ducks current roster can check better then Glencross. And he can skate like the wind also. Plus, he can score. You see, how many players like Kunitz and Chistov would be scoring more goals in the NHL if they could check and receive checks like Glencross. I think the Ducks were majorly fortunate to get a player like Glencross and think if the teams knew how good he really is, back when the Ducks got him, I think a team like Detroit or Dallas would have been trying to get Glencross also. Even Getzlaf, who had 3 goals in last years tournament, only had one this year. Seriously, when the Ducks finally do get to resume playing hockey, and if Glencross is not on the Opening day roster of the season (whenever it starts), I am going to be astonished with the Ducks organization. I think he could maybe even be a player that can be better then Thomas was on the Chistov/Pahlsson line. I can see that line being a pretty good third line: -Chistov -Pahlsson -Glencross
But the thing is, Getzlaf is a definte to make the team. In the Orange County Register the other day, Babcock said they need to get Getzlaf on the team cause they could use his size and skating. The thing is guys, the Getzlaf, Perry and Glencross was dominant in the AHL. Since two of those players should make the team (Getzlaf and Glencross), maybe they should have Perry come up as well. After all, he is 6'3 and they could use his size on the team also. Then the team could look something like this.
-Lupul -Federov -Niedermeyer
-Pahlsson -Ruchin -Sykora
-Perry -Getzlaf -Glencross
-Leclerc -Holmquist -Chistov

NOTE: I know that a guy like Leclerc would refuse to play 4th line most likely, but with the talent that is up front, and with Chistov likely not to make the top 3 lines with all of the other talent (The only guy I don't see on the top 3 lines mentioned above is maybe Perry...but he would be replaced with Leclerc before Chistov), the only place for him is the 4th line. With his knee injuries, and with his lack of speed, maybe trading him to a place like Toronto or Detroit for a good prospect wouldn't be a bad idea. Cause all I know is that I would definetely take Glencross over Leclerc. Without a doubt. And there is no way Getzlaf won't make the team. And the other players mentioned on the top three lines, with the exception of Perry, will make the team. Anyways, guys, if there is no season I will not be posting again til there is going to be one most likely. So this most likely is my last post in a while at least. Have a great year guys. :)

Were any of you guys at any of the games at the rookie tournament? I went to two of the games. That includes last nights championship game. I was there with my Mom actually. (Aww...how sweet). But honetly, seeing how awesome of a player Glencross was on the ice (I had the chance of seeing Prospal at last years training camp and even some practices), I would take Glencross over Prospal. Anyways, guys...Have a great year!
