They don't. Their is a trophy, the World Cup trophy. The winning team gets it, the other teams that lose are just eliminated and get diddaly squat.

Loser of Canada/Czech Republic match is placed 3rd, as both teams were ahead of USA in round robin. Czech had 0 and USA -1 as a goal difference.


Places 4-8 will be following:
4. USA (LSF, 2 points, -1)
5. Sweden (LQF, 5 points)
6. Russia (LQF, 4 points)
7. Slovakia (LQF, 0 points, -9)
8. Germany (LQF, 0 points, -11)
