I'm glad they were finally able to reach an agreement.

Yeah, how long did it take? 2 years? Glad he's finally in Cinci.

:handclap: Good news.

I start to wonder if there will a lockout occur. With all the latest prospect and FA signings, do the GMs know something nobody else knows?

I wonder how much Brent's contract is worth. But good news nonetheless. Brent is going to be an excellent player for us in a few years.

I like Brent too.. good job on the signing

what I wonder is whether or not he got the same amount of money or less than what was originally offered by the Ducks?

I don't think so. The Ducks needed to sign Brent because (1) after the two-year debacle the first-time they drafted him, they couldn't continue to hang him out to dry without creating a ton of animosity and (2) while the Duck's season may be in jeopardy, Cincinnatti will be playing all year long. Brent has a bright future. It's important to get him playing professional hockey ASAP.

If you think that anything has changed with the GMs, then why haven't the Ducks bothered to sign their #1 prospect, Ryan Getzlaf? They're waiting for a new CBA.

Great news!

In related news, a snowball has been reported to survive unchanged for one year in HELL!

According to the OCR he signed for less than originally offered.

well its good thats finally done...

He had a quiet first two days at the tournament...Can't think of any good offensive plays he made...

He seemed really nice when I met him after the game though...

Its good to see Brent signed. I think getting Don Meehan as an agent probably saved this kid's career.
