5 reasons why you should enjoy the World Cup and stop whining and trying to cause international debates:

1) It's the only NHL-type hockey we will see for who knows how long.
2) No one takes you seriously.

I guess there are only 2 reasons. If Canada is so stale to watch, then watch Germany and Slovakia play. If NHL hockey is so boring for you, don't watch it. There are plenty of other leagues.

Last I checked, the Xcel Energy Center, where Team USA plays, is regulation-NHL size. Oh my gosh! What a revelation!

Yeah, passionate hockey fans watching a final, that sucks. I'd rather play in front of the 20 fans in Czech, etc.

They should do it for the SuperBowl, too. Make every fan run to the ticket masters as soon as their highest seeded team wins and makes the finals, to buy a ticket for one game.

Frankly, though, if they wish to preset where the final is played, I would have preferred it to be in a small market area, just to spur some more interest in hockey. Many diehard fans would make a trip if it was for only one game, anyways.

Either way, it's a logistical nightmare to expect fans from MULTIPLE CORNERS OF THE WORLD to wait until the highest seeded team secures the spot. The reason why they can get away with it in the NHL is:
1) it's not nearly as much of a trip to go from Montreal to Atlanta as opposed to Minnesota to Sweden
2) the finals is played in a series, so people can try to catch another game if the first one's taken.
