Guys,I always thought that V.Vishnevski could be one of the better young defensive defenseman in the league if he could improve on a few things......Where do you think his progress is at this point?? Do you think he has upside that we haven't seen yet or is this the best we're gonna see out of him??I'd like to know your thoughts........thanks

He had a bit of a breakthrough year last year. He is going to be a big part of Anaheim's present and future.
Check him out today playing for Team Russia vs USA.

Once Ozolinsh and Carney retires, Vish and Skoula has to step up to fill that role. Vish still has a problem defensively other than positioning. I think he, sometimes need to use his stick other than his body to get the work done. A good example is that tonight, he let a centering feed from Modano to Tkachuk and beat Bryz on a one-timer while he could've prevented it by dropping his stick to block the passing lane and let Modano shoot glove side and at an angle. He needs to use his stick more defensively.

I believe he has the tools to be the Ducks' #1. The coach doesn't seem to like him, so he probably won't play but 17-18 minutes a game on average until Salei, Carney, Ozolinsh, (who I would play more) and Skoula are gone...
Giggy: He couldn't see where #7 was, and it was an awesome play by Modano. He had his stick in the shooting lane...
