Is it fair to say Mikhail Anisin is a "fallen star"? Why did he fell off the track?
He was never that good to begin with. And small guys need work ethic to make up for their lack of size. Anisin's habits regarding drinking and partying are the opposite of what would have made him a successful pro athlete. Pretty simple actually. Zherdev fits the bill of a fallen star far more, because he actually had some talent many coaches wanted and assumed to see translated into a star on the ice. His reason for failure is though exactly the same as Anisin's.

Why is he a star? Looking at his point totals nothing tells me he was ever a ''star''.
