Those really aren't comparable to saying Wilt was better than Russell. You should see me when some youthful exuberant tells me McDavid is better than Gretzky or The Who isn't a great rock band

Wilt cared about personal stats, took himself out of games and played like a soft little girl so he'd never foul out.
Russell could have scored more but tailored his game to team success
Russell over Wilt all day everyday for me
Was more commenting in response to how funny I getThose really aren't comparable to saying Wilt was better than Russell.
Arnie Auerbach said it tooAhh was waiting for someone to come up with this BS statement.
Additionally, even if Russell did score more, it really doesn't matter. Wilt was by far more talented but Bill was by far the better playerAhh was waiting for someone to come up with this BS statement.

Ah, I think the little leprechaun would have found ways to winWithout Russell Auerbach wouldnt have the stature he has today.... no wonder he said such things about him

The "Russell could've scored more but was altruistic" narrative always cracks me up. Even with his selective shooting, which was mostly near the basket, he still only shot 46% in his career. The less we speculate about Russell increasing his volume, the better for him. Chamberlain, meanwhile, shot 59%, and was both the highest scorer by volume and efficiency.Ahh was waiting for someone to come up with this BS statement.
Wilt shits all over Russell. Russell is probably the most overrated player in NBA history.
