That on ice product and hockey operations is now in Utah because other things matter too.

If only the team was still here for that to mean something.

I didn't create the universal job description for Strategic Advisor.

And I don't think anyone is saying they know how to run a business better than AM, but we "sure as shit" can see that he lost the team. So who cares about how well he's done with other businesses when the one we cared about was the one he failed at?

Perfect? Who expects perfect? We just wanted to keep our hockey team (not just the brand and naming rights.) Instead we got to watch him take an L with Glendale, an L with Tempe, an ongoing 5 year search for a piece of land, and a big fat L with the NHL.

The term "perfect" is a total joke in this scenario. We just wanted good enough
You do know why the hockey ops are in Utah? AM did not want to sell to Utah, Bettman made that perfectly clear, but AM was convinced by the NHL to sell to Utah.

Meruelo lost us our team. What kind of Casino operator throws away everything on a public referendum? What a poor bet. I had no idea that "All In" meant all in on a craps table roll.
Why not wait until the fat lady sings? AM has said what he is going to do, now let's see if he is full of crap, or he does what he says.

The hockey ops were sold. There were no jobs, period.
Why must you be so obstinate? You really should make some attempt to open your mind to something (anything) that differs from your own mule headed thought process, if there even is a process. There were, and still are jobs on the business side. So, yes, there were jobs on both the hockey ops and business side and there still are jobs on the business side. Therefore, to say there were no jobs period is completely asinine and sadly somewhat expected when dealing with you.

You're joking, right!?

Nobody could possibly think that it's Bettman's or the NHL's fault the team is now in Utah... Except for maybe you

LOL what!? Are you high? Haha! Come back to reality my friend lol.

I'd love to hear about all the stuff AM said he was going to do over the past 5 years, that he's actually done. Seriously!

Besides, the team is already gone. The possibility of a Coyotes v2.0 is nothing more than a consolation prize and AM has shown that what he wants to do and what actually happens are two different things. So far, AM has failed everything he said he was going to do and then just moved on to the next "I'm going to" as needed.

Still waiting for one of his "I'm going to" statements to become an "I did" 5 years later. If he wasn't full of crap he'd be "turning a landfill into a landmark" just to mention one of the many things he said he was going to do but didn't actually.

As recent as a few days ago, AM still hasn't met with PHX mayor Gallego. One would think that would be a priority with just over a month away from the auction.

Saying "the hockey ops are in Utah" is some serious spin to act like the team isn't actually gone.

Utah has our hockey team. All AM has left of it is the Coyote's carcass (brand) and a handful more "I'm going tos" that might apply to a different hockey team someday, but not the one he said would stay in Arizona lol

But...but...but... he went out of his way to show that he sent a letter a few weeks back :sarcasm:

I just can't believe the attitude this guy has with this all. He didn't think Glendale would kick him out, he made no effort to get along, gets kicked out. He thought TED was a slam dunk, half-asses the campaign, loses the referendum. Says they have a plan B, it takes over a year for plan B to come to light and there's still a long, long way to go. Loses the team to Utah because he's moving so slow the NHL just couldn't wait any longer. Now, he hasn't even talked to some pretty important people and he's about to commit over $100M.

E for effort. A+ for being an uneccessary risk taker though!

To be fair, (imo) Bettman did set the stage for division between the team and Glendale before there even was an AM, by saying the team was not sustainable in Glendale. If Glendale hadn't kicked the boys out, I think the team is still here. Obviously AM was at the wheel of this wreck, but seems Bettman gave him the directions.

"You get to keep the most toxic, ruined brand in all of professional sports. But hey, the logo is freakin' cool! Congratulations!"
LOL, in a tragic sorta way. Perhaps Jr has advised AM as to just how valuable brands are! Moye's was honest enough to say he didn't even know how to spell "puck". Jr is certain he knows how to spell it..... F * * * * D!

the most toxic brand?
Oh boy there are way more toxic ones:
Crawley Town FC (because they are now owned by crypto bros)
Beitar Jerusalem (Most racist football club in the world)
RedBull Leipzig (according to most german football fans)
MK Dons (nobody likes that team and brand)

And many more.

The thing is that to people who don't know anything about the NHL, the Coyotes with their logo are one of the most appealing and intersting teams. If not the most interesting team.

I don't disagree. But AM is still responsible for not even having the land yet to build on after 5 years when he knew from day 1 a new arena was the absolute biggest need to keep the team in Arizona. He's had plenty of time.

Maybe if you owned a business you would understand, but probably not as it would be way over your head.

 I've owned several and am twice retired now. And they weren't Subway franchises Jakey. Either way, I'm not sure what having had, or not having had owned a business has to be with you being obstinate.
