Congrats Alfie. Well Deserved.
Good post. It really isn't questionable as some have tried to portray it.This is only shocking to Sens/Alfie haters
Daniel Alfredsson is 35th all-time for ERA adjusted Points
NHL & WHA Career Leaders and Records for Adjusted Points | Hockey-Reference.com
1. Wayne Gretzky (2475), 2. Gordie Howe (2190), 3. Jaromír Jágr (2080), 4. Sidney Crosby (1744), 5. Mark Messier (1732), 6. Ron Francis (1711), 7. Alex Ovechkin (1703), 8. Joe Thornton (1692), 9. Joe Sakic (1679), 10. Steve Yzerman (1650)www.hockey-reference.com
1261 pts in 1246 GP, he played until 41 years old. Kinda hard to stay over PPG when you play until that age
That's more than Bobby Hull and Maurice Richard
3rd most points in the 2000's (1999-00 to 2009-10), just behind Thornton and Iginla (better PPG than Iginla)
And we're just talking about point totals here.
Good post. It really isn't questionable as some have tried to portray it.
Agreed. Team success in general gets way too much attention and the whole "winners and losers" can be as much about fortunate circumstances as anything.Team success takes way too much space for some people and too quickly it is forgotten that Alfie played the whole dead puck era
If the Sens won 2 back-to-back Cups in 2004-05 and 2005-06 at their peak like they should have, imagine how much more of a Legend Alfie would be
