Skenes is going to be good, but Cade Horton is going to be the better pitcher. Cubs figured out Skene towards the end.

Guy who throws really hard= check
Guy who's going to have injury history because he throws really hard= check
Generational pitcher= nope
6.75 ERA but goes home with Livvy Dunne= GOAT

My god I hope the Cardinals just tear it down. And it's not even the old pitcher signings that have been the problem. Gray has been great, Lynn and Gibson fine. (Holdovers Mikolas and Matz are terrible though)

Goldschmidt always starts slow but he looks like end of the line Chris Davis out there. Arenado is just above replacement level. Dylan Carlson doesn't have a hit yet (should have traded him in a package for Soto when you had the chance.) Jordan Walker had to be sent down and is trending the Carlson route (top prospect he isn't panning out).

Meanwhile just as we all predicted Tyler O'Neill is smacking homers around in Boston. He also predictably spent time on the DL, but still.

It's time to move on from Mozeliak. He's gone the Ken Holland route, was once good but the game has passed him by.

Phillies shut out the Mets with none of their infielders playing the correct position, plus the backup catcher playing his third game in a row. They are a wagon right now.

The Padres always find ways to disappoint at home. Going to lose another game to the crappy Rockies in their ballpark in a game Cease started.

Another W for the Astros, they have won 5 of 6.

the astros cheating? you don't say...

Apparently rosin was on his glove hand(I think) Espada said illegal to have it on non pitching hand. Blanco said he puts it on his left arm, especially when he's sweating a lot. Thinks thats how it got into the glove. Apparently it was hot and humid today. Said he didn't know it was illegal. Asked umps to check his hands because if it's on his glove, hands should be sticky. Umps said no. 1st base ump said it was the most stickiest glove he's felt. Blanco said he'll appeal any suspension.

Anyone know why you can't have it on non pitching hand? Is it to prevent rubbing your hands together with sweat to create the sticky stuff? Would be hard to do it with 1 hand? And if that wasn't the issue and if the issue was sticky stuff on his glove, why not check hands? Don't they usually check hands?
