Got to get these Russians under contract before they sign a new deal with a KHL team and potentially lose valuable years of their development/playInteresting...I would have expected him to marinate a bit more. He's had a great career so far but in lower leagues, which I'm guessing is part of the reason we signed him? He had one VHL game and did well, but it doesn't seem like Russian teams want to move young goalies up very much so this perhaps gives us a bit more control over where/how he develops

Dang. Surprised but coolHe gave an interview for Russian media where he said he's going to play in NA next year, but he's still figuring out whether it'll be ECHL or AHL. So no loan back to Russia it sounds like.
Also mentioned he "doesn't know any hockey player who doesn't want to play in the NHL..." Hopefully he knows Nikishin
