Very interesting series of articles the last few days. Some parts major problems, some parts agents pounding their chest and parents voicing their bitterness towards a system that favours the "best" 15-16 year old players and the biggest clubs. That Frölunda want some money if a top player wants to move to another SHL club in the middle of the season is not really an issue, I doubt they would do that if he didn't want to play hockey anymore.

I think most can agree that there is no structure and a sense of lawlessness to the recruiting when these 20 teams compete for talent. And in Sthlm, sometimes earlier than that to get a competitive environment in earlier ages or "play with the best players" or be where the best tournaments or coaches are. It's a very tough ask for the federation to be able to solve these issues in a way that's good for both player #2 and #402 in every age group.
