Jean-Gabriel Pageau has not one, but two playoff hat-tricks for the Senators.

Against the Rangers, he scored 3 in regular time and followed up with a double OT winner for his 4th goal.

Against the Habs, he was part of a 6-1 drubbing.

Those 7 goals in those two games make up a majority of his 12 career goal production in the playoffs with the Senators.

the tyler motte game

cliffs note: canucks go up 2-0 in the series against the defending champs, then STL wins two to tie the series and are outshooting the canucks by double digits every game. this is the pivotal game five, with vancouver getting just absolutely caved in and down 3-1 midway through the second.

stars are markstrom, who stood on his head; jt miller superhumanly willing the puck into the net to kickstart the comeback; and… tyler motte.

canucks in six. motte added two more goals late in game six to put the game (and series) away.

Ruslan Fedotenko is another 2 goal scorer in a 2-1 Stanley Cup Finals game 7 I believe

He wasn't a big name, but he scored a lot of goals in that playoff run. He had 12 goals total.

He scored seven goals in the 2009 playoffs for PIT.

However, outside of those two playoffs, he only had three playoff goals in his career (he played over 100 games in the playoffs).

Claude Lemieux had a nickname "Mr. Playoff"...

He won 4 Stanley Cups with the 3 different teams: the Canadiens, Devils, and Avalanche. He won the Conn Smythe in 1995 after scoring 13 goals and 16 points in 20 games.

234 playoff games, 80 + 78 = 158 points.

Yes but that also means he doesn't fit the criteria of the thread? Him doing well in the playoffs was, on the contrary, quite the regular and expected occurence.

This has Michael Rupp and Max Talbot written all over it. Both were instrumental in Game 7 of the Cup final 6 years apart. Rupp for whatever reason got 1 goal and 2 assists in Game 7 in 2003. Talbot actually had 13 points for the Pens in 2009, he was pretty good that postseason, but he left his best for Game 7 of the Cup final getting 2 goals against Detroit in the game Crosby got hurt. I think with Rupp he was one of those guys who got drafted in 1998 where he was 6'5" 230lbs. and not all that skilled, not even in junior, but in that post-Lindros draft era there were always teams that said "Well, he's big, so we have that, and we think we can shape him into a power forward................" So that explains why he was drafted 9th overall. But hey, he's got one more Cup ring than anyone posting on these boards, so there's that.

Another tidbit for Rupp was that he was a healthy scratch to start the following season for the Devils and would be traded at the deadline.
