Gordie Howe was an amazingly good short passer — on the stick, off the stick, one touch, forehand or backhand (though he was ambidextrous). He did this much more as he grew older and the wheels were going. As a 46 year-old man against the Soviets in the ‘74 Summit series, he did this with Ralph Backstrom and his son, Mark, all the time, and was highly effective.

Reminds me so much of Crosby, who is also just a wonderful one-touch short passer from either side. Uses the same puck protection technique as Howe did and rarely misses his target.

Malkin is the closest to Mario style-wise. He could hang onto the puck like no one else, was hard to knock off the puck, looked tall on the ice, had the same sort of skating stride but could blow past people despite not looking like he is moving fast. Had the same sort of hands

Draisaitl and Phil Esposito are similar

Malkin reminds me more Jagr than Mario.

Draisaitl also has a bit of the puck protection Jagr has....you can call it a Euro style of puck protection
